It’s past Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, but his words are of course relevant year-round:
With Valentine’s Day coming up, we thought it would be a good idea for writers to examine the various kinds of love, in fiction, memoir, poetry, drama…whatever your heart desires! Ask yourself: What would I do in the name of love? What would this character do? How have I been shown love, or shown love to others? What are the complexities of unrequited love, romantic or otherwise?
Please join us in mulling over these questions with a hot cup o’ joe (or other beverage) at Kaladi Brother’s Coffee on Saturday, Feb. 10, from 10 a.m. to noon (latecomers and early departures always welcome). Bring your laptop, paper and pen, or just yourself; whatever suits your fancy.
Until then, happy writing!
