AWP has a new CESA!

Caitlin Buxbaum, CESAThe Alaska Writing Project is excited to welcome its new Community-Engaged Student Assistant, Caitlin Buxbaum.

Caitlin is currently a graduate student at UAA pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching for Secondary Education with an emphasis in English Language Arts. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English and Japanese Studies from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN. A born-and-raised Alaskan, Caitlin grew up in Wasilla and wrote for the Frontiersman newspaper full-time for almost 3 years after completing her undergraduate degree. She has experience coaching middle and high school age youth in cross-country skiing and running as well as soccer. Caitlin says her list of interests and hobbies could fill a full page, but writing fiction would always come out on top.

If you have a suggestion for AWP, or just want to say hi, send her an email at cait.buxbaum@gmail.com.
